Server Job Description

Our Servers are responsible for providing great service in the restaurant, during banquet events and golf tournaments.

Characteristics of the server include being a team player, having excellent attention to detail, having the ability to maintain a positive attitude, and being conversational and friendly with guests

All this is while maintaining the highest level of professionalism to achieve the high standards of service and quality

Server Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate attention to all their guests.

  • Learn and describe daily specials to their guests.

  • Learn and describe menu items to their guests. Be able to answer questions about the menu(s) and offer suggestions when they are requested.

  • Takes food and beverage orders from guests. Closely monitor the kitchen so food is delivered to guests quickly upon completion.

  • Check on guests in appropriate increments, ensuring food and beverage is as expected. Replenishes items as needed.

  • Attend pre-shift meetings and taste tests, as required.

  • Looks for duties to complete during down time.

  • Ensure accuracy for check, and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.

  • Learns and follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.

  • Learns and follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.

  • Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.

  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as required.
